With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Kevin Kavanaugh (Davenport, Iowa), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 24, 2025. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Kavanaugh and Mary Kavanaugh (Vanecko); and his wife Char. He is survived by: his former wife Bernadette Droste; his children, Brian Kavanaugh (Julie Koca) and Heather Carpenter (Jason); his stepchildren, Doug Carr, Michele Contos, Dennis Carr, Maureen Loomer and Melanie Hann (Gerry); his grandchildren, Jasmine Kavanaugh, Jackson Kavanaugh, Ellery Kavanaugh, Matthew Carr, Madeline Carr, Isadora Contos, Alessandro Contos, Jackson Loomer, Ava Loomer, Sophia Loomer, Leo Haan, Henry Haan, Olivia Haan, Rose Haan and Charlie Haan; and his siblings, Joyce Prado, Karen Kavanaugh (Lawrence Brozek) and James Kavanaugh (Cindy).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 29th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, October 30th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Anthony's Catholic Church (417 Main St, Davenport, IA 52801).
Memorials may be made to Camp Courageous of Iowa.
