He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Schmidt and Frances Schmidt; and his wife Mary Felton. He is survived by: his children, Steven Schmidt of Davenport, Susan Anderson (Doug) of Eldridge and Shelli Schmidt of Florida; his grandchildren, Ryan O'Shea, Kaitlin O'Shea, Tara O'Shea and Westin Schmidt (Beverly); and his great grandchildren, Hayden, Raelyn, Ezekiel, McKenna, Greyson, Jackson and Walker.
