She was predeceased by: her parents, Jess Montez and Caroline Montez (Valle); her siblings, Lenore Chavez (Mac) and Daniel Montez; and her siblings-in-law, Bich Montez, Michael Olvera and Rick Haire.
She is survived by: her husband Richard J. Castel; her children, Joseph R. Castel, Carol Castel Schutters, Michael R. Castel, Maryanne Cacari (Christopher) and Theresa Davison (Keith); her grandchildren, Brent Mendoza (Niki), Matthew Tapia, Jacob Mendoza, Jerisa Castel, Joshua Schutters, Mykalynn Castel, Jasmine Heald, Zachary Cacari, Korrine and Keira Davison; her great grandchildren, Trey, Brayden, Myles, Mylan, Faith, Jade, Merida, Christian, Myah and Mayson; her siblings, Alfred Montez, Luz "Louie" Montez (Rosemary), Monica McColley, Martha Haire, Ben Montez (Margaret), Steve Montez (Carla), Louise Ramirez (Perry), Jerry Montez (Norma) and Marcy Montez; her sister-in-law Pam Montez; and her close friends, Irene Cacari and Florence Beaulieu. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
