Miona M. Morrell Obituary
We announce the death of Miona M. Morrell of Davenport, Iowa, who passed away on September 25, 2026, at the age of 80. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Madden and Nora Madden (Fee); her husband Roger J. Morrell; her siblings, Michael Madden, Charles F. Madden and Elizabeth Malone; and her close friend John Simmers.
She is survived by: her children, Candace Stender (Brian) of Kissimmee, Florida and Anthony "Tony" J. Morrell of Missouri; her grandchildren, Joshua Stender, Ashley Ignasiak (Michael), Madisen Stender, Anthony Morrell and Nicholas Morrell; her great grandchildren, Theodore Ignasiak and Maverick Morrell; and her close friends, Penny Hurt, Cath Puffinburg, Kandy Swain and Peggy Holvoet. She is also survived by children, and her devotion to her family.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home (644 River Dr, Bettendorf, IA 52722). A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials in Miona's memory may be made to the Canfield-Hughes VFW Post 9128 Auxiliary in Bettendorf.
