She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Armstrong and Mary Armstrong (Machalek); her husband Donald H. Stender; her great grandchild Kelsey Hippensteel; her son-in-law Rev. John Cook; and her brother Richard Armstrong.

She is survived by: her daughter Pamela Cook of Carlisle, Pennsylvania; her grandchildren, Jennifer Gill (William), Alexander Cook and Cassandra Cook (Bobby); and her great grandchildren, Jayden Gill, Abigail Gill, Madeline Gill, Kamren Hippensteel, Kaleb Hippensteel, Karley Hippensteel, Harmony Cook, Carter Cook and John Cook.
