He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathan Freeman and Maria Freeman (Hoffer); his great grandchildren, James Hodges and Anahi Freeman Galvan; and his siblings, Gerhart Hoffer-Freeman and Elizabeth Hoffer.

He is survived by: his children, Angela Freeman-McAfee (Christopher), Dominique Hodges, Albre Carter (Dasmond), Melony Frost and Wade Freeman; and his grandchildren, Larissa, Tasha, Janina, Domani, Lilly, Izabellah, Anthony, Luna and Brooklyn.
