He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Herbert Guenther and Johanna (Meier); and his sister Dorothea Kempf. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Uhlinger; his sons, David (Naomi), Daniel (Susan) and Douglas (Penny); his great grandchild Robert; and his friend Rob Dalton.
In lieu of a service, Robert requested memorials be made to the University of Iowa College of Dentistry.
