He was predeceased by: his parents, Otis Payton and Mary Payton (Lenton). He is survived by: his wife Michele Gass; his daughters, Shiloe Hillman (Michael) and Haley Willhite (Tyler); his stepchildren, Tiffany Sodeman (Adam) and Ronnie Gass (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Madeline, Carter, Isaih, Ariana, Sophia, Jade, Xander, Sebastian, Nickolaus, Charlotte and Riley; and his siblings, Eva Griffith and Johnie Haynes.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either the family, or the Word Church in East Moline.
