He is survived by: his son Nicholas Shorten (Amber); his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Zayah and Avreanna; his son Michael Shorten (Jennifer); his grandchildren, Erika and Blake; his sister Pam Felts (Bud); his nephews, Brian, Johnny and David; Janet Wilker.
