He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Sr. Blackard and Jeannette Blackard (Jenisch); and his brother Walter Blackard. He is survived by: his siblings, Delbert of Missouri, Laura of Missouri, Jimmy Blackard of Missouri and Katie Cobb of Missouri; his sister-in-law Sandra Blackard of Coal Valley, Illinois; and his aunt Joan Thompson (Vance) of Webster Groves, Missouri. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
