He is survived by: his wife MaryLinda; his children, Andy Bergen (Laura Hanna), Peter Bergen (Rachel) of Clive, IA, Adam Bergen and Katie Bergen of Hiawatha, IA; his stepson Christopher Coward (Kristen) of Excelsior, MN; and his grandchildren, Lily, Jack, Eva, Luka, Olivia, Piper, Aubrey and Billie.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, the Salvation Army, or the University of Iowa Center for Advancement, Rossi Guest House Lodging Program.
