He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Stephen George and Dorothy Edna Darling (Goodman); his wife Kathy; his son Stephen "Brandon"; his daughter-in-law Katelyn Darling of Bettendorf; his grandchildren, Stephen "Jackson" Darling and Lydia Dene Darling; his sisters, Barbara Darling Bracken of Durham and Dorothy "Dottie" Pless (Reiner) of Rockville, Maryland; his siblings-in-law, Mary Dietz of Lander, Wyoming and Ambrose Costello (Shelby) of Moline; his nephews, Robert Pless (Anja Sautmann) of Washington, D. C. and Mark Dietz of Lander, Wyoming.; and his niece Monica Pless (David Grant) of Salida.
A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, November 8th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at 3100 Heather Knoll, Silvis, IL 61282.
