He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence L. Smith and Marjorie V. "Marge" Smith (Cates); and his sister Nylaya Marcine "Marcy" Smith Fuller. He is survived by: his daughter Melinda Dreher (Patrick) of Elkmont, AL; his grandchildren, Amanda Loyd (Gary), Colton Dreher, Aubree Dreher, Paige Cagle (Alex) and Monica Smith (Brandon); his great grandchildren, Michael, Blake, Addison, Elizabeth, Charlotte, Brittany, Catherine, Brandon Lee and Lucas; and his siblings, Larry Smith (Debi), Marianne Brundies (Jim), Harold Mathias, Kenny Mathias (Kelli) and Leslie Blackwell. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
