He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Kerkhoven and Elizabeth Kerkhoven (Beemster); his wife Judy; his son Jeffrey; and his siblings, Margaret Reedy-Smith, Mary Jacobs, Helen Kellener, Robert Kerkhoven, Joan Granthman and Geraldine Manley.
He is survived by: his daughters, Maribeth Green (Mark) of Davenport, Lynda Kerkhoven of Davenport and Anne Moore (Ryan); his grandchildren, Ryan Green (Valerie), Megan Cowherd, Brandan Green (Samantha), Kirstan Wanninger (Keaton), Morgan Green, Joseph Kerkhoven (Laura), Alex, Anika Kerkhoven, Grace, Odin and Atticus Moore; his great grandchildren, Weston, Zander, Josie, Creed, Braylen, Bexley, Kinsley and Wyatt; his sister Elizabeth; and his close friend Jack. He is also survived by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church (916 E Rusholme St, Davenport, IA 52803).
Memorials may be made to the Women's Choice Center, DivineMercyProject.com, or Holy Family Parish, for a new ministry of helping vulnerable, senior citizens.
