He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles William and Lucille Rose Schlichting (Springer); and his brother David. He is survived by: his sons, Nick (Stacey), Chris (Emily) and Tommy (Marcy Schlichting); his grandchildren, Allison, Tyler, Lucy, Braeden, Ruby, Jonas and Thomas; and his brothers, Jim Schlichting of Davenport, Charles Schlichting (Rhonda) of Davenport, Robert Schlichting (Cathy) of Davenport and Don Schlichting (Donna Jo). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and lifelong friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a memorial bench or an educational fund for his grandchildren.
