She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert W. Dowell and Gladys Dowell (Farris); her husband Gerald McCarty; and her sister Creta Paget. She is survived by: her children, Mark Brabant (Julie) of Chillicothe, IL, Benaiah Brabant of Woodridge, NJ, Dean Brabant (Charlotte), Eldridge, Michael McCarty (Cindy), Steven McCarty (Linda) and Cathy Leonard (David). She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, along with numerous extended family.
Memorials may go to Heartland Hospice or Edgewood Baptist Church.
