He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Charles and Gay Henrietta Peterson (Olson); his wife Bernadine "Bernie" Stoneburner; and his sisters, Ivadell Anderson, Ormagene Koger and Elvera Bollenbaugh.
He is survived by: his stepdaughters, Jane Coover of Rogers, AR, Linda Sunstrom (Jeff) of Boone, IA and Vickie Bills (David) of Dayton, IA; and his sisters, Glenda Smalley of Boone, IA, Alice Keenan of Boone, IA, Jaunita Hankins of Corwith, IA and Caryl Erickson (Charles) of Boone, IA.. He is also survived by nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the United Methodist Church (107 3rd St NW, Dayton, IA 50530). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, October 2nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
