It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Raymond Coffey in Decatur, Iowa, who passed away on July 20, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Donald Coffey and Vinola "Vina" Coffey (Allen); his grandparents, Newton, Adelia "Gertie" Coffey, Hollie Allen and Lena Keener; his brothers, Earl and David; and his sister-in-law Judy.
He is survived by: his friends, Church, Edna and Weldon Christian Church; his wife Edna Coffey of Garden Grove; his children, Ruth Coffey of Chicago, Susan Clark of Shenandoah, Terri Coffey of Garden Grove, Karin Coffey-Zern of Brooklyn and Charles "Ray" Coffey Jr. (Natalie) of Indianola; his grandchildren, Vyneesha Branche (Josh), Aaron Sample (Terra), Ashley Bloomer, Anita Ocheskey (Brian), Angel Denly, Patrick Coffey, Autumn Coffey, Ronn Zern, Jesse Zern (Liz Spencer), Hillary Engles (Kevin), Laurin Langmaid (Tristin), Avery Zern, Charles "Cray" Coffey III, Blaise Coffey and Jasper Coffey; his great grandchildren, Bjorn Branche, Tori, Gage, Beau, Harlow Sample, Madysen Ford, Gracey, Colton Bloomer, Emerson, Everest Engles, Presli and Colt Langmaid; his brother Allen Coffey (Rosa) of Pleasanton, TX; and his sister-in-law Janice Coffey (late Earl).
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Garden Grove Cemetery. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Weldon Christian Church South Main.
