She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold Myhre and Alice Myhre (Munkel); her siblings, Joan Baumgartner (Thomas), Gordon Myhre, Lyle Bacon and Carter Wiechmann; and her in-laws, Lyla Smith (Kenneth), Naomi Solberg, Alden Solberg, Helen Fink (Bud), Charles Solberg (Pat), Margaret Flaten (Orville), Robert Solberg and Judy Ashbacher.
She is survived by: her children, Jean Solberg of Dixon, IL and Brian Solberg (Denise) of Decorah; her grandchildren, Amanda Johnson (Adam) of Portland, OR, Stephanie Kennay of Dixon, IL, Kalle Solberg of Naperville, IL and Keaton Solberg of Decorah, IA; her great grandchildren, Colette Johnson, Alana Johnson, Milton Johnson, Ole Paul Johnson, Elijah Robinson and Ezekial Robinson; her siblings, Dorothy Bacon of Rochester, MN, Mary Newgaard (Elton) of Spring Grove, Helen Wiechmann of Lubbock, TX, Wayne Myhre (Sue) of Calmar, IA and Lorraine "Lolly" Perkins (Dwight) of Thorp, WI; and her in-laws, Judy Solberg of Bettendorf, IA, David Solberg (Eileen) of Hiawatha, IA and Donald Solberg of Hokah, MN. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 29th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Helms Funeral Home (306 E Water St, Decorah, IA 52101). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Good Shepherd (701 Iowa Ave, Decorah, IA 52101). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Trinity Cemetery (20063 Territorial Dr, Spring Grove, MN 55974).
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may go to the family in memory of Carrie.
