In the vast expanse of eternity, Fred shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Fred farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Pahl and Thelma Pahl (Johnson); his brother Ken Allen; his nephew Steve Gaffey; and his great-niece Marissa Engelhardt.
He is survived by: his siblings, Trudy Gaffey, Sharon Walter (Larry), Pam Pahl (Arlyn Moe), Arlin Pahl (Margaret), Mike Pahl (Connie), Deb Pahl and Dan Pahl (Becky).
Visitation was held on Friday, June 13th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Helms Funeral Home (306 E Water St, Decorah, IA 52101). A funeral service was held on Saturday, June 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
