He was predeceased by: his parents, Ambrose Mensen and MaryAnn Mensen (Engelken); his brother-in-law Arnie Fortman; his sister Joyce (Ronald Wendt); and his parents-in-law, Saraphine (Ranly) and William Skoruppa.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Mensen (Skoruppa); his children, Kristy Meyer (Jon) of Ossian, Molly Tabbert (Dana) of Oskaloosa and Jeffrey Mensen (LeAnn) of Ridgeway; his grandchildren, Carter Meyer, Rachel Meyer, Ethan Tabbert (Andrea), Emma Tabbert, Melanie Stull (Dylan), Crystal Elsbernd (Nick) and Austin Mensen; his great grandchildren, Aven Meyer, Troy, Trevor, Taylor Stennes, Aiden Stull, Selyse and Sofia Elsbernd; and his siblings, Agnes Burns (Don), Carolyn Wilson (Allen), Donna Thomsen (Bill), Sandy Kass (Bob), Janet Fortman, Diane Even (Mike), Teresa Mensen, Ruth Boge (Al) and Bill Mensen (Lisa).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Benedict School, Decorah, for the new playground project.
