Jane Pape Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Jane Pape of Decorah, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 5, 2025 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her siblings, Jules Fretheim, Ruth Nesset, Hazel Stortz, Stanley Fretheim and Lyle Fretheim.
She is survived by: her daughters, Rozanne Sorenson (Kim) and Mary Madden (Greg); her great grandchildren, Wyatt, Bryn, Sailor, Victor, Osro, Royal Biedermann, Colben Sorenson, Cayson, KayLynn Dower, Owen and Weslie Mae Sorenson; and her siblings, Doris Schutz (Howard), Shirley Vangsness (Lee), Emory Fretheim (Elaine) and Joe Fretheim.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 20th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Vennehjem (1102 Nordic Dr, Decorah, IA 52101).
In Lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, First Lutheran Church of Decorah, Winn Med Hospice.
