He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Eleanor Nichols (Field) and Carl Nichols; his wife Sherry Raduenz; his children, Craig Nichols, Christy Zuniga (Mario) and Carrie Weber (Adam); and his grandchildren, Madeline Zuniga, Dylan Zuniga, Louis Weber, Archer Weber and Frances Weber.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Decorah Senior Center or Sunflower Child Development & Discovery Center.
