She is survived by: her husband Donald Stegen; her children, Renate Lewis (Ed) and John Erik Lewis; her grandchildren, Erik and Elaina Lewis; her siblings, Gerda Schmidtmann (Ernst) and Werner Pielhop; and her stepchildren, Leah Plourde (Monte), Monti Stegen and Coral Ehrhardt (Mark).
Visitation was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Helms Funeral Home (306 E Water St, Decorah, IA 52101). A funeral service was held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marion's name to Howard County Community Hospice in Cresco, Iowa.
