He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Rinken and Christine Rinken (Jauert); his son David; his granddaughter Ashlyn Whipple; his great grandchild Sunny Dimig; his siblings, LaVerne Rinken, Gerald Rinken and Marie Neelans (Jim); his niece Jeannie Nelson; his sister-in-law Inez Oakland; and his great-nephew Isaiah Neelans.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie Kelly; his children, Annette Rinken of Decorah, IA, Dean Rinken (Jen) of Urbandale, IA, Joan Whipple (Lynn) of Pleasant Hill, IA and William Rinken (Amy) of Stewartville, MN.; his grandchildren, Tyler Rinken, Becca Dimig (Doug), Reese Rinken, Katy Rinken, Emily Rinken (Kohlten DotyDavitt), Addison Whipple and Ella Rinken; his great grandchildren, Robert Rinken Dimig and Rowan Dimig; his brother Kenny Rinken (Shirley); and his siblings-in-law, Jeanne Casterton (Mike), Jerry Kelly (Deb), Sandy Rinken and Vernon Oakland. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
He delivered Meals on Wheels and volunteered with the Retired Seniors Volunteer Program (RSVP).
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may go to the family in honor of Bob.
