He was predeceased by: his father Billy Ray Vandeventer; his stepfather James R. Campbell (Estlack) of Numa; his brother Robert Lee Vandeventer; and his grandparents, Eldred, Betty Estlack, Joseph and Romaine Vandeventer.

He is survived by: his stepsiblings, Mendy Edgar (Lance) of Baxter, James "Bud" Campbell (Michele) of What Cheer and Rob Campbell (Stephanie) of Oskaloosa. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A memorial fund has been established for the family.
