With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dixie DeBlauw (Denison, Iowa), who passed away on July 15, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Unger and Norene Unger (Beller); her brother LeRoy Unger; her nephew Adam Unger; and her siblings-in-law, Jerry Bauermeister, Arlyn DeBlauw and Marie DeBlauw.
She is survived by: her husband Jim DeBlauw; her children, Lori Castle (Travis), Jenny Moser (Jeff) and Tom DeBlauw (Cassie); her grandchildren, Ty Castle (Corina), Trey Castle, Tori Castle, Jordyn Juhl (Kyle), Jared Moser, Joey Moser, Noah DeBlauw and Emily DeBlauw; her great grandchildren, Scottie Castle and Campbell Juhl; and her siblings, Dan Unger (Dorothy), Maxine Bauermeister, Peggy Hofbauer (Bob), Mary Ann Rotherham (Ric), Beverly Benson (Rick) and Mike Unger (Kris). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, other family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM. A rosary was held on Friday, July 18th 2025 at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, July 19th 2025 at 10:30 AM.
