Doris Kahl Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Kahl (Denison, Iowa), who passed away on August 16, 2025, at the age of 100, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Emil Otto Burmeister and Helena "Lena" Hulsebus Burmeister; her husband Herman Vernon Kahl Jr.; her son Kenneth; and her siblings, Gladys, Leo and Helen.

She is survived by: her children, Pam Jahn (Dennis) of Ute, Donald Kahl (Barb) of Dow City, Kathy TenEyck (Bob) of Dunlap and Trent Kahl of Gill, Colorado; her daughters-in-law, Edith Kahl of Denison and Donna Kahl of Dow City; and her siblings-in-law, Donna Ahart of Denison, Dorothy Kahl of Mason City and Arlyn Schultz of Minnesota. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
