He was predeceased by: his parents, Edwin Jacoby and Velma Jacoby (Kluver); and his siblings, Pat Messenbrink, Dean and Diane.
He is survived by: his wife Merry Jacoby of Schleswig; his children, Michelle Herrig (Larry) of Denison, Matt Jacoby (Mindy) of Story City, Melissa Jacoby of Denison, Meggan Brandmeyer (Ryan) of Ames, Mike Jacoby (Kim) of Clive and Jordan Petersen (Shayla) of West Bend; his brother Dennis "Jake" Jacoby (Ilene) of Denison; his stepbrother Allen Hansohn (Sandy) of Denison; his nieces, Dawn Groth and Mickelle Kloock; and his nephew Justin Messenbrink. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; four step grandchildren; one step-great-grandson.
