She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Dethlefs and Mary Dethlefs (Waderich); her husband Leo Fester; her siblings, Esther Nemitz, Marie Etchison, Walter Dethlefs, Henry Dethlefs, Louise Ferris and Clara Walde; and her granddaughter Heidi Keough.
She is survived by: her children, Jeanette Keough (Ron) of Forest City, IA, Leon Fester (Penny) of Logan, IA and Paulette Von Glan of Westside, IA. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 5:00 PM and from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the Huebner Funeral Home (1437 Broadway, Denison, IA 51442). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Paul Lutheran Church (303 E 4th St, Ute, IA 51060).
