He is survived by: his wife Starr Schwarte; his children, Deborah Steadman (Barry), Mary McClure, Christine Frazier (Troy), Susan Schwarte, Donna Stephen, Steve Schwarte, Jason Schwarte (Valerie) and Clay Schwarte (Amber); and his siblings, Kenny Schwarte (Rose), Sally Lass and Connie Summerfield (Rod). He is also survived by 34 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 5th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church (212 2nd St, Earling, IA 51530).
