He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Rickers and Linda Rickers (Vergith). He is survived by: his sons, Cody Rickers of Manilla and Kyle Rickers (Melissa Thomas) of Cedar Rapids; his siblings, Terry Rickers (Cathy) of Newton and Christy Rickers of Vail; his nieces and nephews, Rachel Anderson, Ahren Rickers, Brian Zavitz, Joe Thomsen, Josh Thomsen and Sabrena Van Dyk; and his pet Mike. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Huebner Funeral Home (1437 Broadway, Denison, IA 51442). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
Memorials may be directed to the Vail Fire Department or St. Anthony Hospice.
