She was predeceased by: her parents, Vincent E. Sr. Lukowiak and Gladys Lukowiak (Barnes); her husband Dale Bretey; her brother Vincent Lukowiak Jr.; her children-in-law, Nora Bretey and Tony Blackman; and her siblings-in-law, Toni Lukowiak and Rick Phillips.

She is survived by: her children, Clayton Bretey (Marian), Kurtis Bretey (Shelly), Keith Bretey (Teri), Paulette Karolczak (Todd), Becky Blackman and Tony Bretey (Nicole); her siblings, Stella "Suky" McMasters, Dan Lukowiak, Mary Phillips, Dave Lukowiak (Lori) and Joe Lukowiak; and her sister-in-law Beverly Lukowiak. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to St. Rose of Lima Catholic School.
