In loving memory of Sara Thomas (Denison, Iowa), born in Homer, Nebraska, who departed this world on January 16, 2026 at the age of 85. Sara leaves behind a legacy remembered by family and friends. As we bid adieu to Sara's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Sara has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Young and Jean Young (Pease); her son Dale Herbert; her husband Max Thomas; her daughter Nancy Tucker; and her siblings, Dennis Young, David Young and Julie French.

She is survived by: her children, Marc Morey (Josie) of Chula Vista and Karen Smith (Rob) of Omaha, Nebraska; and her great great grandchildren, Rosanne Van Etten of Smithland, Tom Young (Susan) of Sioux City, Dan Young of Council Bluffs and Rob Young (Teresa) of Montana. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren, many other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
