Shirley Garrett Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 11, 2025, at the age of 86, Shirley Garrett (Denison, Iowa), born in Carroll, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Olive North and Dowling; her son Dale Garrett; her husband John Garrett; and her siblings, Arlo North, Arlene Birney, Donald North, Olive Mae Griffin, John North, Jim North, Glen North, Mary Lou North and LaNora North.
She is survived by: her son Randall Garrett (Vicki) of Eurecka Springs, AR; and her grandchildren, Megan Mills (Shaun), Joshua Garrett (Stephaine), Sarah Spencer and Sophia Hansen (Shawn). She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Calendar Our Savior Lutheran Church (500 N 24th St, Denison, IA 51442). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at the Calendar Dow City Cemetery.
Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation in her honor.
