He is survived by: his son David Hougen (Julie) of Ridgeway, IA.; his great grandchild Haley Martin; his daughter-in-law Tamara Hougen; and his sister Ruth Hermann.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Peter Lutheran Church (540 E Franklin St, Denver, IA 50622). A memorial service was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
