She was predeceased by: her parents, Leo Westendorf and Mildred Westendorf (Tietje); her spouse Reinhold Raymond Pavelec (Bunny); her sister Arnetta Whitt (Edwin); and her siblings-in-law, Edward, Louisa Spier (Emil), Rose Kuhrt (Kenneth), Pearl Heinemann (Kenneth), Irene Buhr (Willard), Phyllis Maxfield (Robert), LaVera Bergen (Russell), Evelyn Davis (Dean), Louis Becker, Aaron McKenzie and Virgil Fasse.
She is survived by: her children, Larry Pavelec (Vicki), Steven Pavelec (Sheryl), Kathleen Thiele (Robert) and Connie Fleshner (Phillip); her grandchildren, Derek Pavelec (Kristin) of Madison, WI, Brett Pavelec (Karalee) of Anna, TX, Craig Pavelec (Bailie), Edward Pavelec (Bridget), Sarah Pavelec and Melissa Jones (Dakotah); her great grandchildren, Annabel, Isaac Pavelec, Bennett, Reed Pavelec, Jacob, Elijah Pavelec, Ash, Atticus Gleason, Emmeric, Maximus, Tobias, Joanna and Roman Pavelec; and her sisters, Marlene Fasse, Jolene McCurdy (William) and Beverly Block (Wayne). She is also survived by 25 nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church-Readlyn (240 Elmer Ave, Readlyn, IA 50668). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church or Readlyn American Heart Association.
