We are sad to announce that on June 11, 2025, at the age of 101, Albert Polito (Des Moines, Iowa) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Albert departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Albert may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Albert leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his wife MaryAlice; and his son Dave. He is survived by: his children, Marty, Connie, Andy, Tom and Shelley. He is also survived by two daughters-in-law; one son-in-law; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother; one sister-in-law; and multiple nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Hamilton's Near Highland Memory Gardens (121 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines, IA 50313). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, June 21st 2025 at the Highland Memory Gardens (121 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines, IA 50313).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Cancer Society or Disabled Veterans of America.
