With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Allen Fredrick Johnson in Des Moines, Iowa, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 29, 2025 at the age of 82. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Allen Fredrick Johnson to pay them a last tribute.
He is survived by: his wife Marva; his daughters, Teresa Herold (Steve) and Tracey Johnson (Rick); his stepchildren, Marci Long (Mark), Marti Birchmier (Mark), Robert Owen and Jeffrey Owen (Lisa); and his sisters, Verdel Odgaard and Janet Longcor. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church (3223 University Ave, Des Moines, IA 50311). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM and from 2:00 PM to 2:15 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.
