We announce the death of Alma Luane Tyrrel (Des Moines, Iowa), who passed away on October 5, 2026, at the age of 84. She was predeceased by: her parents, Elmer Klein and Nellie Klein (Budding); and her husband Jack Tyrrel. She is survived by: her children, Julie Peterson (Dudley) of Des Moines, Nancy Lockwood (Scott) of Altoona and Jack Tyrrel Jr. (Becky) of Polk City; her brother Darrell Klein of Oskaloosa; her in-laws, Maxine and Harvey Tyrrel; her brother Alvin Klein; and her siblings-in-law, Sandy Klein, Joyce Klein and Charles Tyrrel. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM at the Trinity Baptist Church (4600 SW 26th St, Des Moines, IA 50321). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 14th 2026 at 5:30 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Trinity Baptist Church in loving memory of Luane.
