She was predeceased by: her parents, John A. Tolson and Geraldine Buckner (Conway); and her siblings, Betty Murray, Jacqualine D. Williams and James Tolson (Bell).
She is survived by: her son Fred L. Akers Jr. (Dawn); her grandson Darius L. Akers; and her half-sister Paula Jane.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the King of Kings Missionary Baptist Church (619 E 15th St, Des Moines, IA 50317). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
