She is survived by: her children, Sallie Avera-Tullberg, Annette "Annie" Appenzeller (Parker Winters) and Donald Avera; and her grandchildren, Jessica Tullberg, Rachel Glass (Mitch), Jordan Appenzeller (Taylor), Alex Appenzeller (Delia) and Brandan Appenzeller (Nakota).
A memorial will be established for donation to Trinity Lutheran School in Boone, IA.
