It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Barbara A. Detrick (Des Moines, Iowa), who passed away on June 5, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Witzenburg and Betsy Witzenburg; and her husband Ronald Detrick. She is survived by: her sons, Mark Detrick (Lucy) and Brent Detrick (Karen); her grandsons, Taylor (Jamie), Jason (Albee) and Grant (Logan); and her great grandchildren, Bentley, Hadley, Ethan and Henry.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Hamilton's Funeral Home (605 Lyon St, Des Moines, IA 50309). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 12th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Oakwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the American Heart Association.
