She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy Hamlin and Ethel Hamlin (Berry); her husband Bernard "Don" Fors, Jr.; and her sisters, Areda Long, Alice Hamlin, Lucy Baron and Ruth Christy.

She is survived by: her daughter Valerie Sondag (David); her granddaughter Laura Peterson (Tom) of Indianola; her great grandchildren, Max, Ellie and Ivy Peterson of Indianola; and her siblings-in-law, Janet Card (Jerry) of Ankeny and Larry Clark of Ankeny.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Central Presbyterian Church or the Alzheimer's Association.
