She was predeceased by: her parents, Mildred Johnson and Raymond Johnson; her grandparents, Henrietta and Marion Bond; and her brother Ralph Johnson (Betty).
She is survived by: her former husband Roy Johnson; her husband Robert Brown (Bob); her grandson Jeremy; her great grandchild Xander; her sister Karen Chapman; her daughters, Debbie Allen (Tom) and Mary Burnett (Alan); and her grandchildren, Amie Burnett (Chris Moritz), Jenny Kitner (Dave), Monica Broadwell (Brandon), Jeanna Burnett (Greg Grams) and Shawn Allen. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hamilton's Funeral Home (605 Lyon St, Des Moines, IA 50309). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 31st 2026 at 11:00 AM and at 12:00 PM.
Donations may be made to the family and will be utilized for a memorial at the Iowa State Fair in her honor.
