We are sad to announce that on January 3, 2024, at the age of 95, Bobby McClaran of Des Moines, Iowa, born in Davis City, Iowa passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the echoes of fond remembrance, may we find a sense of peace, knowing that the memories we hold dear will continue to shape and inspire us, keeping Bobby's spirit alive in our hearts and actions. While his presence may be gone, his impact lives on in the kindness we show others and the joy we find in the ordinary moments of life.

He was predeceased by : his parents, John Clair and Marjorie Bessie McClaran (Manchester); his wife Gene Marilyn Haskell; and his brother William. He is survived by : his grandchildren, Samantha, Benton Jr. and Sarah; his children, Candace (Rose) and Benton (Barb); and his siblings, Hollis McClaran, Nathalie McCleeary and Nancy Cotterill. He is also survived by his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, many cousins, nieces, nephews.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Grandview Church of Christ (2736 Hubbell Ave, Des Moines, IA 50317).
