He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul and Auguste Feilmann; and his wife Vivian L. Newton. He is survived by: his children, Paul Feilmann (Patricia Wojtkiewicz) of Yutan, NE, Mark Feilmann (Ann E.) of Ankeny, IA and Ann Merkley (Robert) of Polk City, IA; his friend Homecare; Carl and Vivian. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church, Carl's lifelong home of faith, and Unity Point Hospice – Taylor House.
