It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carl E. Evans (Des Moines, Iowa), who passed away on May 17, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis E. Evans and Anna May Evans (Quivey); and his wife Reatha Johnston. He is survived by: his children, Beverly Lloyd (Jeffrey) and Michael Evans (Karla); his grandchildren, Scott Lloyd, Jennifer Kaiser (Bryant), Kimberly Campbell, Wendy Botterbrodt (Justin), Michael Lloyd (Emily), Christine Curtis (Tyler), Nathan Lloyd (Mollie), Luke Evans, Benjamin Evans (Sara), Elisabeth Meyers (Kyler), Gabriella Evans and Jared Evans; his sister Mary Johnston Halfpap; and his close friend Kay Herring. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Valley View Village Chapel (2571 Guthrie Ave, Des Moines, IA 50317). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Valley View Village (2571 Guthrie Ave, Des Moines, IA 50317).
