Charles Austin Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Austin (Des Moines, Iowa), who passed away on August 18, 2023, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Austin and Lula Austin; his former wife Eva Marie Austin; his daughters, Vickie Aasland, Phyllis Stutes and Leslie Myers; and his siblings, Viola Anneberg, Virginia Penfold, Vernetta Dove, Vera Moore, Jean Yoakum, Ed Bodtke, Alfred Bodtke, Elmer Bodtke, Clancy Austin and Clair Dean Austin.
He is survived by: his wife Janelle Austin; his children, Mark Austin (Patty), Melody Livengood (Kevin) and Linda Patrick (Ben); and his stepson Chaz Bayles. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law; and many nieces, nephews, and an endless list of friends.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Southtown Pentecostal Assembly or to North High School Alumni Association in loving memory of Chuck.
