It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Edwin Farr of Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on May 27, 2022, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Marilyn; and his brother Gilbert (Tommy). He is survived by: his children, Retha Christine Farr Weiss (John) of Marquette, MI, Charles Michael Farr (Martha) of Des Moines, Thomas Carey Farr (Deirdre) of Des Moines and David Clinton Farr (Margaret) of Chicago; his grandchildren, Celia, Aaron, Jason (Dana), Jonathan, Matthew, Kathleen and Rachel; and his great grandchildren, William, Ruth, June, Israel, Ellery and Judah.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to either the Des Moines Metro Opera or The Marilyn & Charles Farr Fund for American Sign Language at Drake University.
